Real Life Fake Birds

The City That Must Never Sleep — Or Else! (Medium: watercolor & collage mixed media – 6″x8″)
Sketchbook pages exploring potential collage background textures (Medium: watercolor & gouache collage – pages are 4″ x 4″)

These pre-existing pieces capture the imagined lives of real birds by exaggerating size or juxtaposing them against imaginary landscapes and will form the foundation of the collection. Fictional backstories will be developed for these birds as well as the pieces yet to be made, distorting the line between playing pretend and reality. Examples of my reality bending fiction mingling with my art can be viewed in my unrelated project, Ronaldo’s Field Notes.
